Medium · 5–7J does not come up as often as other letters, which is why a big set helps. These letter J coloring pages show a jellyfish, a jaguar cub under a tree, a blue jay on a branch and a jerboa jumping beside the letter. There is a jeep, a jet, a jukebox, a jacket on a hanger, a jar of jellybeans, jingle bells and a jack-in-the-box popping up.
The J has a hook at the bottom, like a fishing hook. Color the straight part and the hook in different colors. Jellybeans are a great excuse for a rainbow of tiny colors, and the jay looks best in blue and white.
Jumpy J sound. Say "j, j, jump" and do a small jump on each J word. Your child can jump too before choosing the next crayon.
Jellybean patterns. On the jellybean jar page, color the beans in a pattern such as red, yellow, red, yellow. Ask what color comes next.
Find the hook. Ask your child to trace the hook of the J with a finger. Then find other hooks: a coat hook, a cane, a fishing hook.
Job talk. Use the jester, juggler and jersey pages to talk about jobs and sports. What would your child like to be?
Yes. Most of these are Medium pages, a good fit for ages 5 to 7. Kindergarten children can color the jeep, jet or jukebox and practice writing the word under the picture.
Jade, a soft green, and jet black both start with J. Jade suits the jellyfish or the jungle leaves. Jet black is a fun name to teach when coloring the jaguar's spots.
Yes. The Download all button at the top creates one PDF with every letter J picture. Print the full set or pick the pages you want.
J is used in fewer words, and its hook goes below the line when written in lowercase. Coloring the big J helps children remember its shape. Point out that the lowercase j has a dot, like an i.
