Easy · 2–4G has a lot of easy pictures, so this set leans toward simple pages. In these letter G coloring pages you will find a tall giraffe, a gorilla with a banana, a goat with a bell, a smiling goose and a grasshopper on the grass. There are grapes, garlic, a gift box with a bow, a greenhouse with a watering can and a guitar with music notes.
G has a curve and a small shelf, like a C with a seat. Color that shelf a different color to help your child see it. Purple grapes and a yellow-and-brown giraffe are good places to start.
Hard G sound. Practice the G in goat and gift. Say it from the back of the throat: "g, g, goose." Keep the soft G in giraffe for later.
Gift wrap colors. Let your child design wrapping paper on the gift box page with stripes or dots. Talk about who they would give the gift to.
Tall and short. Compare the giraffe and the goose. Which is taller? Find something taller than your child and something shorter.
G is for grow. Color the greenhouse page, then plant a seed in a cup. Check it each day and talk about how it grows.
Most pages in this set are Easy, with one big G and a large picture like a goldfish or grapes. They suit children from about age 2. Chunky crayons and short sessions work best.
Green, gray, gold and grape purple all start with G. Green is the easiest to teach because it is all around us. Ask your child to find three green things in the room after coloring.
Press Download all at the top of the page. You will get one PDF with all the letter G coloring pages, ready to print on US Letter paper.
G usually makes a hard sound, as in goat. Before e, i or y it often makes a soft J-like sound, as in giraffe. Young children only need the hard sound at first, so start with goat, goose and gift.
