About Under the sea coloring pages

The ocean is full of shapes kids love: round fish, wavy seaweed, spiky starfish and curly tails. Our under the sea coloring pages start with a goldfish and a playful mermaid cat swimming with a starfish. You will find even more sea animals, like a sea turtle, a whale, a dolphin, a crab and tropical fish, in the Summer coloring pages.

These pages give children a chance to use every blue and green they own. Color the water light blue first, then the sea creatures in brighter colors so they stand out.

How to use under the sea coloring pages for learning

  1. Fins and shells. Ask which animals have fins and which have shells. Sort the pages into two groups.

  2. Ocean wall. Glue colored pages onto blue construction paper to make an ocean wall with paper seaweed.

  3. Breathing under water. Explain that fish use gills to take air from water, while whales swim up to breathe.

  4. Sink or float. Color the page, then test small toys in a bowl of water. Which ones sink and which float?
