About Easy coloring pages

Easy coloring pages are made for the youngest artists, usually children aged 2 to 4. Each page has one main picture with big, simple shapes and thick outlines, so small hands can stay inside the lines and finish a whole page before they lose interest. Easy pages also suit any child who is just starting to color or who wants a quick, relaxing activity.

At this age, coloring is about more than making a pretty picture. It builds the small muscles in the hands that children later use to hold a pencil and write. Chunky crayons, thick washable markers or the tap-to-fill tool online work best. Do not worry about staying neatly inside the lines; praise the effort and talk about the colors your child picks. Ten minutes is plenty for a toddler. Short, happy sessions done often help more than long ones, and naming colors, shapes and animals as you go turns each page into a little lesson.

Questions parents and teachers ask

What makes a coloring page easy?

Easy pages have one big subject, thick outlines and only a few large shapes to fill. There are no tiny gaps or busy backgrounds, so young children can finish the page and feel proud of it.

What should toddlers use to color?

Chunky crayons, thick washable markers and crayon blocks are the easiest to grip. Colored pencils are often too hard for two-year-olds. Online, the tap-to-fill tool lets toddlers color a whole shape with one tap.

How long should a toddler color for?

Five to fifteen minutes is normal for children aged 2 to 4. Stop while it is still fun. Several short sessions a week build hand strength and focus better than one long session.

How many easy coloring pages are there?

There are 567 easy coloring pages right now, in topics such as alphabet, animals, anime, cartoon characters and fantasy & mythical creatures.

How do I print these coloring pages?

Open any page and press Print, or press Download PDF to save it. Pages are sized for standard US Letter paper (8.5 x 11 inches) and also fit A4. Wide pictures print sideways (landscape) automatically.

Can my child color these pages on a phone or tablet?

Yes. Press Color online on any page. Tap a shape to fill it, or draw with the brush, crayon and marker. Press Save to keep the picture in My Gallery on that device; nothing is uploaded.
